Privacy policy

Feltham Removals (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides removals, man-and-van, storage and European moving services across Feltham and the TW13 & TW14 postcodes. We take the privacy of the people who contact us seriously. This policy describes how we handle your personal data when you ask us for a quote, get in touch, or use our website. For the purposes of UK data protection law, Feltham Removals is the data controller for the information described here.

What we collect

When you fill in our quote form or contact us, we may collect:

• Your name;
• Your phone number;
• Your email address;
• Your pickup and drop-off addresses;
• Your preferred moving date, if you give one;
• Any notes you add about your move — rooms, access, bulky or fragile items, and so on.

We only ask for what we need to understand your move and prepare a quote. We do not ask for special category data (such as health information), and you should not include it in the notes field.

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

We use the information you give us to:

• Respond to your enquiry and prepare a quote for your move;
• Contact you to discuss the job, arrange a survey, or confirm the details;
• Carry out the removals, storage or European moving services you book with us;
• Keep records of the work we have done and of our correspondence with you.

Our lawful basis for handling your data is usually the steps taken at your request before entering into a contract and the performance of that contract once you book. Where we rely instead on our legitimate interests — for example, responding to a general enquiry or keeping proper business records — we make sure those interests are balanced against your rights.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for anyone else’s marketing. We do share it, only as far as necessary, with:

• The moving crew and any subcontracted drivers assigned to your job, so they have the addresses, access notes and contact details they need to carry out the move;
• Customs and clearance partners for European moves, where the destination country requires documentation to bring your belongings across the border;
• Trusted service providers who help us run the business — for example our website host, email provider and, where relevant, our storage facility — who act on our instructions;
• Authorities or professional advisers where we are legally required to disclose information or need to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

Website, cookies and third-party tools

Our quote form is protected by Google reCAPTCHA, which helps us tell real enquiries from automated spam. reCAPTCHA collects hardware and software information and sends it to Google for analysis; its use is governed by Google’s own privacy policy and terms of service.

We may use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how visitors use our website — which pages they view and how they arrive — so we can improve it. This relies on cookies and similar technologies and collects usage data in an aggregated, largely anonymised form. You can refuse or delete cookies through your browser settings; doing so will not stop you using the site or requesting a quote.

How long we keep it

We keep your personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes above — to deal with your enquiry, carry out your move, meet our legal and accounting obligations, and handle any questions or claims that might arise afterwards. When we no longer need it, we securely delete or anonymise it.

Keeping your data secure

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access, and we limit access to those who need it to do their job. No system is ever completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to keep your data safe.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

• Ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
• Ask us to correct anything that is inaccurate or incomplete;
• Ask us to erase your data where there is no good reason for us to keep it;
• Object to, or ask us to restrict, certain uses of your data;
• Ask us to transfer your data to you or another provider, where that right applies.
